The Stoke Mandeville Village Society

October 2025 - Things are moving slowly forward! - despite receiving planning permission (twice) from Buckinghamshire County Council for the construction of a non-denominational War Memorial on the Village Green, we were later refused the necessary licence(s) required in order to proceed with construction. Thanks to the intervention from Stoke Mandeville Parish Council, who are taking over the licencing required for us, and working together we hope to make further progress over the winter months and our ambition is to have the memorial erected in 2026.
